Cyrnel City Sheet

The Axis City. Containing the massive and widely known “Ironworks”, it is the city where the Empress herself resides and where a large quantity of all jobs accumulate. Cyrnel is located right in the middle of Guarmi itself as well, so not only is it known as the pivotal center city, it is the pillar of of where Guarmi’s entire enterprise was raised from the ground up.

 Cyrnel is where Guarmi began and where it continues to this very day. Back when the land was entirely uninhabited and clouded in trees and dense thickets, a select and curious two brothers, Gaero Yi Byeon and Be’su Yi Byeon, discovered a way to use these natural gifts into something harder than stone and tougher than the finest wood. Move forward hundreds of years later and soon these engineers of the future piloted the way into industry; leading many a thousand away from relying soley on the earth by itself and in turn, manufacturing it to create something far stronger.

Exports

Since Guarmi is known as the land of Iron and Steel, it is only natural that its capital city would be the main center for accessing and manufacturing it. Gunpowder is also a main export of Cyrnel for the creation of cannons and guns begun here not too many years before; so it is quite new on the list of exports.

It may not be what most would called a thick forested area like it used to be, but this city does its best with what it has. The smoke coming out of the Ironworks takes a small toll on the land. Most plant life is prepared with effort, or at least not until the spring time; a time where everywhere, not excluding Cyrnel, is flooded with flowers and foliage of all types. You will see some sections of dense trees, but nowhere near what you would see if you traveled from Yoryyn.

Walkways are made with stones lines up side by side and pathways across small beds of water are of a mixture of steel and stone as well.

The plains of the capital city are mainly flat other than a few very low hills. Trees grow here enough to make a covering if one needed it, but the citizens are usually having to plant living organisms on their own .. again, it is not an effortless task. Only 7 out of 10 trees that are planted grow at all and if so, they are either small and weak or of the lowest form of what is considered the normal stature. The empty spaces where there are no trees are made up of buildings so these balance the appearance out well. The Palace... The Steel Fortress... All these names are correct, though only one is is used as it’s final title.

Holding a historical value, it is been a symbol of what Guarmi has worked for for the entire extent of its long endurance; For having a structure made of its main achievement would be fitting no? The building itself is also made of different sectors, all complex and hard to navigate unless you are familiar with the interior or are guided. It was originally made that way on purpose for the safety of the royal family if any threat should ensue.

A main attraction to visitors to Guarmi, it holds not only a legendary value, but also a value of hope for the citizens to look up to. Any unsure thoughts of their safety is irradicated when the mixed grey and white steam comes like clockwork every morning when work begins.

For those of you who wish to visit it in particular or casually take a trip to view its marvelous and historic tourist points, tours are given daily. Plus, one might get a chance to see the empress in person, if they so wish it. She regularly walks around during the day near the Ironworks and talks with all.

A warm and accepting community, it is also the place to go to if you plan to make it out on your own. Little to no sexism is tolerated or even seen hardly anywhere. It also has a very free air to it, due to its surprising lack of security. Soldiers are stationed here, but not as many as you might expect. The Empress prefers for those who live here to not feel constrained by the government, but a sound government is still necessary to keep a running country.

Cyrnel is a large supporter of free enterprise and the production of goods and services for profit. If your dream is to begin your own business, it is most suggested you begin here. Entrepreneurs gather here to begin their lives and as stated before, it is the main center to get a long term job, that is---if you like working with coal and crafting steel. But if you are the type to have an idea for your life and stick to it in something other than the jobs provided in the Ironworks, hard work will get you very far.

Guarmi was founded on the premise to take what you find and make it better; to not wait for anyone else to make your own change . Cyrnel’s forward way of thinking has not changed since then.

Occurs as the name goes, during the spring time. At the very first day of this spring, the Empress Hana announces an end to all work and a start to the festivities! Cooking and cheering goes around, as well as merriment of all kinds. Though one of those days, the empress dresses up in ritualistic garb and performs a dance for all her citizens. She does this not only because it is custom, but because she wants to show them all that she is here to serve them as well as their Empress. To lead them when they are lost and make important decisions for the better of her nation.

Though it may seem like a Halloween event or something of the sort, it isn’t in the least. Everyone gathers together and on one night, they all write the names of loved ones who have passed away on whatever form they so choose.  After doing so, they place them in the central river that runs through the entire land, and watch them float away downstream off into the distance.

Stealing or taking home any iron/steel without permission by a person of authority is prohibited entirely and the offender is hereby sentenced to 10 years in prison. The same has to do with illegal manufacturing of gunpowder, so decreed by Emperor Gaero Yi Byeon.

Murder and Hunting a species on the bring of extincion have the same punishment in order: Death, so decreed by Emperor Be'su  Yi Seo.

Foreignors and travelers are ordered to purchase and sign a document labeling you as an outsider and not an illegal immigrant. (Race is not a matter at all in this issue, nor does it affect your changes of being granted the paperwork.) When this is not fulfilled, you shall be forced to leave. If you make the decision to stay here in Guarmi as an official citizen, there are many more papers to sign and you must be approved by at least one of the Knights or the Emperor/Empress theirself before you are allowed, so decreed Emperor Gaero Yi Byeon.

There shall be no interracial offspring between a Bysst and a Human. If this is ever discovered or made public, they are sentenced to a severe punishment, so decreed by the Emperor Taejo Yi Byeon.

Starting from the first day of spring in the month of May on the Gregorian Calendar, all workers are hereby required to take an entire paid month off from their toils and enjoy the festivities. If this is not fulfiled, the worker will be foreced on leave for 2 weeks after the spring has passed. Those that own their own private buisnesses are free to do as they wish, but it is ordered they must at least take a week off within the month’s time frame, so decreed Empress Hana Yi Byeon.

or changed by the residing Emperor/Empress if they

see fit to make that decision...
